Mar Hall 'Lochs & Glens' Full-Day Adventure 

We've created the ultimate full-day adventure for Mar Hall guests looking to explore this beautiful part of Scotland. We explore two incredible off-road areas with breathtaking views across Loch Lomond and Loch Long, with a stop for lunch in the picturesque conservation village of Luss in between.

Guests have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of our iconic Defenders, under expert instruction, or sit back and enjoy the tour. Either way, we’ll tackle steep inclines, daring descents and challenging rock crawls, getting you to the hilltops for spectacular views.

Our Kilted Adventure Guides are experienced off-road driving instructors and passionate tour guides. They are charismatic local characters, with great knowledge of the area and lots of stories and banter. You’ll feel like you have an old friend showing you around. 

Your Adventure Guide will collect you from the front door of the hotel. You’ll set off north into the hills to discover two areas; the first in the hills above the village of Luss, overlooking Loch Lomond’s islands, and the second, even more spectacular area, overlooking Loch Long and the mountain range known locally as The Arrochar Alps

There are lots of wonderful viewpoints along the way where we stop for driver changes and photo opportunities. If your party takes more than one vehicle, then you’ll travel together and be in constant contact on the two-way radios. This is always a private experience for your group and your group alone – we never have different groups sharing vehicles or travelling together. 

We always tailor the tour to our guests’ tastes. Your Adventure guide will chat with you when you are collected and tailor the experience to make it perfect for you.

Our Land Rovers accommodate 4 adults, plus our Adventure Guide. We have a couple of 7 seaters, so if there are kids under 12 in the party then we can take up to 6 guests including the 2 kids.
